This card was based off a tutorial I saw on Pinterest. I have recently been interested in watercolor painting and this was my first one! To make this card, I used 3D stickers from Target's dollar section. They were not too sticky, so they stayed put until I wanted to remove them. I used Qtips to create the dots around the card, careful to concentrate more dots toward the letters. If you don't put enough dots tight to the letters themselves, they become less defined. Switch up the colors and the amount of water used, and you've got yourself a project!

This print is actually a birthday card that I made for a friend of mine who recently turned twenty. I like to make cards that can be used as wall decorations after the birthday, so I made this one in a simple, sleek style. I used a plain 6.5 x 4.5 piece of cardstock to make this card. I stamped the floral pattern all over the card, being careful not to be too organized with the orientation of the flowers. For the outer edges, I put a plain piece of paper behind the card in order to catch the ink that went off the page. This keeps your surface clean, but also makes for a nice pattern! Then, I used a white Jelly Roll and a Ranger white opaque pen to draw the 20 on the card. Just write a sweet note on the back and slip into an envelope! |
